A one day installation in Wissahickon park, Philadelphia, PA
in early March, 2008.

Over the course of one summer, I painted the wildflowers that grew along one path in the park. Then, I posted these paintings where the original flowers had been growing. I used the motif of the Chinese good luck charm—tassels, red color and beads—to express hope for future growth of these plants, to encourage protection of these plants, and also to make them noticeable in the greyness of winter.
